In looking back over the year, I know my work is nothing without the kind and happy couples who fill the frames, but I also can’t imagine my job without the chums who shoot along with me.
I have one or even two other photographers at most every wedding, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have a lot of the same friends work with me for years. With all the opportunities and small catastrophes that can fit into a wedding day, knowing I have their help to brainstorm through challenges and carry gear and take fantastic care of my clients and the half-thousand other things they do is the greatest relief wrapped up with all the appreciation and confidence my dusk light- and 35mm-loving heart can muster. They make a good thing even better, and I’m so grateful to have them be part of my work.
So! To my second shooters (Paula + Ally + Nathan + Dan + Noah + Aaro) and assistants (Hannah + Carolyn + Meghan + Hanna), thank you. Thank you for your work and friendship, for going so many extra miles, and for being such excellent humans in the first place. : )
